Part 1: Identifying the Importance of Evidence-Based Practice to Nursing Practice (approximately 300-350 words)In Part One, you must explain why evidence-based practice is important in nursing practice. As part of your answer, you must identify the link between evidence-based practice and the NMBA Registered Nursing Standards. Your answer must:i. Identify the clinical problem. The problem should be clearly articulated, emphasizing its relevance to patient safety and care quality.ii. Alex Thorne is an 87-year-old gentleman who has been living in a residential care facility for the last five years. Older adults in residential care often have complex health conditions requiring vigilant monitoring. He is demonstrating signs and symptoms of delirium due to a urinary tract infection. Delirium in elderly patients can be distressing and significantly impact their overall health status. He is feeling hot and restless and also feels an urgent need to go to the toilet to urinate frequently. Frequent urination and discomfort are classic symptoms of a urinary tract infection that require prompt medical attention. He recognizes his surroundings but does not know where he is. Cognitive impairment due to infection can pose challenges in communication and care provision. He wants to see Heather, his daughter.
