Purpose:
Data is only valuable to your Board of Health after it has been appropriately analyzed and visualized. Converting data to information for decision-making can be one of the most impactful and influential skills for a public health professional to develop.
Instructions and Actions:
Analyze all data collected during the implementation phase using the data collection tool(s) created during the planning phase.
Compare the analyzed data to the relevant process and outcome indicators from your Logic Model. Draw conclusions about the impacts of the program.
Ensure that you bring to light both positive and negative data findings.
Did your data support or reject reaching your indicators? Each of your analyzed questions should state whether you met or did not meet your Logic Model indicators.
Reminder: This is a theoretical, one-week implementation. It is not expected that you will have a substantial positive change in your participants. It is more important that you gain experience conducting this type of outcome-based analysis to replicate in the field, be able to gauge when you are on track to reach your goals, and know when you need to re-develop your implementation.
Create at least 3 visual displays of the data (many of you will have more).
Remember, you are using data to tell the story of your program. Make sure the analysis connects to the Logic Model.
